Ladies Night Out
More like ladies weekend out... It's so great to have a husband that is so loving and trusting of you and is confident in what the two of you share. There aren't too many men that I know that would let their significant other go out of town with her homegirls... let alone for a whole weekend. (Wait a minute, let me re-phrase that... there aren't too many men that would be comfortable with their significant other going out of town w/ her homegirls.) But since my husband is so great... me and two of my friends went to VA for the weekend.

We drove down Friday night and checked in. The room was cool, except I requested 2 double-beds & they gave me a king.. and they were booked so we couldn't switch rooms.. but they gave us a cot at no extra charge. With the 3 and a 1/2 hour drive, we were beat, so we crashed.

Saturday, we got up and set out for Water Country USA! We had a ball! None of us had ever been and we got on every ride/slide. We got into the wave pool and made T go into the deep in.. she was comical. But we had a great time. We left the park about 5PM. Went back to the room, took a shower and took a well deserved nap! When we got up, we got dressed and went to eat. T was in the mood for seafood. So we went to this seafood buffet restaurant... best damn snow crab legs I've ever had! Too bad this place is only in VA and Myrtle Beach. But we decided that we would make a couple of trips a year to Captain George's. Believe you me, that ride is well worth it! Afterwards, S just had to go clubbing. T and I were so stuffed from dinner, but being the good friends that we are, we went along. We tried not to be party-pooper... but it was hard. People in VA are so different from people in Baltimore. They dress differently, dance differently, demeanor in the club is different. T and I just laughed at people. Most of the dudes there were old enough to be my dad. Needless to say, we didn't stay too, too long. On the way home, my best friend called me crying b/c this dead-beat dude she was dealing with was cheating on her and she caught him. She told my husband also, and he and I kinda got into over this.. which really blew my night. (But that's another blog topic!)

Sunday, we got up early. Checked out. And headed for Busch Gardens. This park is sooooooooooooo beautiful! We did all of the roller coasters and there new ride real quick. By it being the weekend, the lines were long, so after that we headed home b/c we all had to go to work on Monday. But! I will definitely go back and enjoy the park for what it's for. They divided the park into sections and named them by countries. In each country, they have their customs displayed via food, music, dancing, and other entertainment. What I think was so hot about this park (and I know this is some greedy sh*t) but they had real food! Not pizza, chicken fingers, and hot dogs.. but when we walked through Italy, this lady walked out the restaurant with spaghetti, Italian sausages, and garlic bread! OMG!!! And it smelled soooo good! I'm definitely going back.

And Busch Gardens didn't have too many roller coasters that my husband would have enjoyed both parks with me. So next time I go.. it won't be a girls thing.. it will be me and my husband. But me and the girls made a pack to visit a different park every summer.

You didn't make it to Club One on Thurs??
And why not?!! Well... your lost! I had a ball, as I always do at my husband's party. All of my friends were there (and of course his too.) But we got there early, as suggested, and partied until the lights came on. For those who came, I'm sure you had a ball too. If you weren't able to attend, that's ok, my husband will be giving another party there again soon. I'll have more details later.

But back to me having a ball... the drinks were flowing (thanks brother for buying me and Valerie our MotherF*ckers - although I didn't really need it!) I was drunk as hell... luckily I didn't have to drive :o) The music was pumping... DJ QuickSilva played all my favorites from Old School, Hip-Hop, R&B, Reggae to Club Music. And it was packed.. not super-packed like "it's too many f*cking people in here" but a nice amount of people that you're not seeing or dancing with the same person all night long (unless you wanted to.)

Long story short.. it was a great party! And I hope that you can join us at the next one!

Yesterday & Today have been HORRIBLE days!
Yesterday sucks b/c a cab driver hit my car... while it was parked! I was in my grandmother's house eating, waiting for my cousin to come over so she could do my hair. Next thing you know, my aunt runs outside saying, it sounds like there was an accident! I thought she was tripping b/c i didn't hear anything.. but sure enough, a f*cking cab driver hits the side of my car.. my 7 month old, black 2005 Chevy Malibu!!! So now I have yellow paint on the driver, front side of my car. Pissed is not the word! How did he hit my car... either (1) he was speeding when he turned the corner and didn't see the oncoming traffic until too late, and tried to move over quickly to avoid hitting them or (2) he was being impatient and tried to squeeze his boat b/w my parked car and cars in the opposite directions of him waiting at a stop sign. Either way.. my car is scratched & my side-view mirror is cracked. And although it wasn't my fault, if I want to go through my insurance company, I have to pay my deductible and then try to have his insurance company reimburse me... so I guess I won't be doing it that way...

Today (and actually the past two weeks) have sucked b/c my immediate supervisor has put in his resignation, so he really hasn't been doing too much work.. but the work has to be done, so guess who picks up the slack?? Yours truly. So now, not only do I have bunch of things that I was already responsible for, but now I have 1/2 of the work he was doing. Do you think I'll get a pay increase? I seriously doubt it.. why? B/c I just got one! And then they don't plan on replacing him.. so now I am searching hard for a new job w/ more money and less miles for me to drive. Everyday I apply to at least 2-5 jobs in the middle of me doing my work. If anyone knows of any IT help desk positions b/w the areas of Columbia and Towson, please leave a comment.... I can't take this sh*t anymore! I'm too young to be stressed like this! And then my co-workers.... (I only have 2) One is f*cking useless! The other is a backstabbing b*tch that I want to kick in her f*cking forehead!

The only good thing about today is that my husband blogged just for me.. but that good feeling only lasted 2 min.. the 2 min it took me to read it. Hopefully when I get home, he can make day a lot better :o)

July 21st Update
As mentioned in an earlier post, my husband is throwing a party at Club One on Thursday, July 21, 2005. If you've been to one of his parties before, you know that you need to be there. For those who haven't, this is a MUST experience!

So here are the details.... Doors open at 10PM and the party lasts until 2AM. Dress: Dress to Impress - no boots, sneakers, plain t-shirts. Admission is $15 unless you know people. And if you're reading this, then you must know someone :o) All you have to do is email myself (tjackson925@hotmail.com) or my husband (dickeyjames@hotmail.com) And let one of us know that you need a pass that will give you $5 Admission ALL night long!

Your choice... $15 or $5 to experience one of the hottest parties of the summer! (For all of my fellow alcoholics, that's $10 in your pocket to purchase some drinks!)

Club One is located at 300 E. Saratoga St; Baltimore, MD 21202... directions can be found at www.MapQuest.com

Hope to see you there!!!

Kings Dominion
Every year my cousin's job offers discount tickets to Kings Dominion and one of my really good friends was supposed to go (as she does every year) but this year, her and her husband leave for a cruise the day that we're supposed to go. So I decided to extend an invitation to all of my friends to join me. At first everyone was excited about the price (b/c it's like less than 1/2 the price of regular admission) And now, everyone is like, they're not going. My husband always is there for me and is willing to go wherever I want to go.. But he really doesn't like to ride the rides at amusement parks, he prefers to play the games, but I'm the complete opposite! All I want to do is ride the rides.. I make sure that I do ALL of the roller coasters and then the regular rides. So as of now, it's just the two of us going.. but if by Friday (when the money is due) it's the same way, I won't be going to Kings Dominion =(

I'm so disappointed!
*sigh*

Baby.. thanks so much for being willing to go.. but I don't want you to go and be miserable riding all of the rides just to make me happy... so you'll know on Friday if Kings Dominion is still a go.

I'm Sponge Bob'd Out!!
My Godson will be 3 on Thursday, but we celebrated his birthday the weekend before. He's in love w/ Sponge Bob Square Pants.. so his mother and I went Sponge Bob out! We rented a Sponge Bob moon bounce, got a Sponge Bob pool, Sponge Bob patio set, Sponge Bob pinata, Sponge Bob cake, and Sponge Bob decorations. The party was really nice. Brandon really enjoyed himself, to whereas though when he came home from school today, he was still looking for Sponge Bob! He got a lot of clothes and some toys and a savings bond to start his college career. His cousins, little brother, neighbors, and friends came... he was so happy on Saturday! And he was so cute! Look at a view of the pictures!

All-in-all it was a good day, and needless to say we all went to bed early!!

July 21st
My husband is slipping.. so I will pick up the slack for him. He will be hosting a party at Club One on July 21, 2005. This notice is for all of you people that aren't able to party during the week and then make it to work the next day... This gives you enough time to request off on Friday, July 22nd so that you can make it to the party. More details about the event will come shortly, but if you'd like to learn more about the club, go to www.onebaltimore.com

Trust me!! You will not regret taking off to come to this event!

And if you need a reason to party on that day... it's my mother's birthday!

Intermixing of Friends
I have this one friend that has not liked any of my other friends.. ever since I've known her. She and I are really cool, but she has a sh!*ty attitude that not too many people can deal with, so her number of friends outside of me aren't very many. When you get married, in order to make sure that there is complete trust in the relationship, your friends become your spouse's friends and vise versa.. so I have gained 3 good friends (or associates- if you've read my profile) from my husband. I really like all 3, but 1 (at first) seemed kind of iffy.. but since she really didn't do anything to prove that she's a bad person.. I disregarded my original opinion. Well, my long-term does not like her.. at all! And I really don't understand her reasons. The reasons that she gives are reasons that I shouldn't like, but since I do, why does my friend act the way that she does? My friends's son birthday party is this weekend, and my used-to-be-iffy associate (iffy for short) sort of invited herself to the party.. but she offered to bring something... but either way I can be mean, but I'm not that damn mean to tell her that she can't come; even if it is supposed to be a kids party only. So my friend and I got into it over this. She's going on-and-on about how she really dislikes this girl and how she worked hard for my godson's party and that she doesn't want to be bothered with my associate. Now all this time she's ranting and raving, I'm thinking to myself.. don't you bring your deadbeat boyfriends around me.. and I can't stand them? Don't you stay trying to double-date w/ them.. but I didn't say anything b/c I didn't want to stoop to her level, but I'm not un-inviting someone.. that's just rude! I really don't understand what her beef is though.. b/c I'm putting up for damn near 1/2 of the party! And if I want one of my friends/associates there.. seeing as though it's my house, I can have them there! Plus, it's supposed to be so many people there anyway, that she doesn't have to be around the girl.. there have been plenty of times where we have all been around each other and they didn't more than "hello" to each other. My friend just really needs to grow up.. sometimes I wonder if the reason she doesn't like any of my friends is b/c since she doesn't have many friends, she wants me to be the same way? If so, she can chalk that!

I'm Bored!
Every day I come to work and pretty much do the same thing... NOTHING!! I check emails and respond to users, assign their problems to myself or other techs. Most problems will take no longer than 15 min to fix. Usually by 1PM, the emails stop. And then I do NOTHING! (Which is the main reason I started this blog - I had to find something to occupy my time.) Most people I know wouldn't complain.. they would say that I'm getting paid to chill.. surf the Internet.. email.. whatever... BUT.. there is only so much stuff on the Internet to search and so many people to email/talk to throughout the day. I want a job that will challenge me.. keep me busy.. that way I can get paid more $$$$$$$$$!!!!!!!!!! I don't want to have a 45-60 minute commute to work to do NOTHING!

Road Trips

When I was in college I used to go on road trips all of the time w/ my one home girl from school. It didn't matter where it was, whether a 1 hour trip to my hometown of Baltimore, or an 8 hour trip to Charlotte.. if there was a place one of us wanted to see, we both were there. When I moved back home, my road trip adventures came to a halt. But recently, my husband and I agreed to start taking as many road trips as possible. Last weekend was our first one. We went to O.C. and had a wonderful time (despite the speeding ticket received in route to our destination) Look at my husband on the boardwalk....he's so cute! This upcoming weekend, we are headed to Philly. We're supposed to visit his dad, but it's more for me so that I can enjoy Philly for what it is, instead of doing a quick drive through. Hopefully we won't receive any traffic tickets on this road trip...
