I’m sick, at least that’s what I wish I would’ve called my manager and said this morning… actually everyday this week so far! We’ve been flooded with calls due to lack of communication and complete testing on part of the supposedly higher ups of our technical group…. I think we should switch places with their asses one day and when they see how their fuck-ups affect us, then hopefully they would do better.
In a helpdesk (which I work in, for some strange reason, since I’m really NOT a people person. LOL) most of our calls are password resets. I say about a good 70% of them. Why is our password reset system broke? It’s been down on and off since before Thanksgiving…. If the main system we need doesn’t work, how can we do our job? We have like 100 people we have to call back to reset their password. The customers are frustrated because without a working password, how can they get into the system to do their job?
And then, one lady is on vacation, one guy has the stomach virus, another guy is (supposedly) sick, and then there is a rotational person that is off today as well. We are so slammed with calls, it’s ridiculous. I’m tired, but that’s not going to stop me from getting a stress relieving drink!!!
On a lighter note… I won a Happy Hour at another club for the 29th. Consider this your invitation! LOL. If you want more details, holla at me, but I think I have the email addresses of most Baltimore/DC/NOVA bloggers, and you should’ve received an evite. I know the date is like right in the middle of the holidays, but we’re doing it as a pre-New Year’s Eve celebration. Hopefully a lot a people can make it. Last time I had a happy hour, it rained cats and dogs outside, which prevented a lot of people from coming through… hopefully, we won’t have that problem this time.
Christmas is near, and I’m NOT done shopping! I’m going to the outlets Saturday to finish off my gifts for my mom, grandmother, and father aka sperm-donor. And then I’ll be done. I’m so finicky about my Christmas mood. Sometimes I’m in the spirit, and other times I’m a grouch. Yesterday we had our office Christmas party and at the beginning I was Santa, and at the end, I didn’t want to be bothered!
Right now… I don’t want to be bothered!!!! Guess I need a drink…..
These are just my thoughts and opinions. I try not to care so much, but I can't help it; it's just in my nature to care about those close to me. If you don't like my opinions..................ask me if I care!

As for the holiday spirit, I too am not feeling it. I did get gifts but all that pretending and sitting up in ppl's faces is not for me this year. I just dont wanna be bothered.

Wow, I have the worst conversations with the folks who work for our company's help desk. They piss me off all the time. I'll have a system issue and these punks never seem to know WHAT fucking system I'm talking about. I had to email this one jackass a SCREENSHOT so he could figure it the fuck out! Grrr.
But now that I know you're a help desk chick, I'll have to take it a little bit easier on them. :-) -
so wise - when they come around for your email address.. give it to them! that's how you win :-)
mistress - i dont know them people.. i dont care how u treat them! lol. but FYI - depending on how many systems you guys use.. just saying "it's broke" isnt clear.. but if ur giving the name of the system & they still dont know.. that's either a lack of training or they are idiots! lol
