It’s Official

I first was notified that they were interested in me on May 25th. I heard from their recruiter’s on May 26th. I filled out all of the paperwork as required and then there was silence. I didn’t hear from them again until June 20th. My “supervisor” asked me when was my start date. WTF?? Never! I told him that I haven’t heard anything since I filled out the paperwork. Next day, I get an offer letter.

So after taking a drug test and waiting forever to have my background check, I’m officially leaving T. Rowe Price and will be starting a new career life with Lockheed Martin in two weeks.

‘Bout fucking time!!

I’m so excited!!!!

I'm on a mission
So a lot of my blogger-friends have been discussing their weight goals. I’m not 100% happy with my size either and thought that the support that is given through the blog for those trying to loose weight could be helpful to me as well.

Now I’m not extremely overweight… and SOME might say that’s there’s nothing wrong w/ me. But since I’m not happy with the way I look – I want to do something about it.

I currently weigh 173 pounds (although you may not think it by looking at me.)

(and i am holding my stomach in.. LOL)

I want to get back down to 140 pounds like I was my senior year in high school.

(sorry for the bad quaility - i didnt have a digital camera then.. and I dont have a scanner)

I know my problem. I like to eat… unhealthy, but great tasting food. And the better it tastes, the more I want. I work out (maybe not as much as I should, but I work out!) I attend Curves. They say as long as you go at least 3 times a week & do your two times around the circuit, you’ll see results. I noticed results in my first month there. I had lost 5 lbs., now I lose like a pound every month or so. My eating habits haven’t changed so I don’t really understand why I’m not seeing the results I want to see. They say it’s b/c first you shed the fat, and then you tone your body into muscles which is why my weight never really changes. I’m like, OK – if that’s really the case I should still see results in my body and in my clothing. I went up a size since I’ve been there. So I’m currently wearing a size 12. I want to be in a size 8.

BK I know you said to start a journal on what I eat, that way I can help to eliminate the unhealthy foods that I currently eat. Well, I bought the book – just never started writing in it. But that changes TODAY!

Honey-Libra said she noticed that when she drank a lot of water, she wasn’t as hungry as before so she drinks a lot of it to help curb her appetite… Not I! I usually skip breakfast (and I know that I shouldn’t… but I don’t have time in the morning for it.) So this past week, I’ve been drinking water all morning to try to fill me up – it makes me hungrier than when I took nothing until lunch. So there goes that theory (for me.)

When it was like 70/80 degrees outside my mom and I would walk. Now it’s like 90 degrees outside and that’s too damn hot to be walking anywhere! And the humidity ain’t no joke either… so I need to do something else.

I could go back to playing basketball with GTL but usually when he leaves to go to the gym, I’m still at Curves or have already been and don’t feel like going. I need to snap out of the latter. The reason I was 140 pounds my senior year in high school was because I played basketball all the damn time & that running up and down the courts kept me slim.

When I remember, I take the One-A-Day Weight Smart Vitamins. They do help curb my appetite a little. And I need them anyways b/c I need some vitamins to give me energy b/c my job drains me. Either I’m so bored, it makes me tired. Or I’m so busy, I’m tired. So they do come in handy.

I know what I need to do… I just got to do it! And I need to start fast!! GTL and I are going to Niagara Falls in August for out 2-year anniversary. I want this slinky black dress to where… but I can’t do that if my body’s not right.

So N1S, Insanely, GP, and everyone else… I’m joining you in your mission to lose weight!! Good luck ladies!

Suggestions welcomed…

Getting to Know Me Tag

I was supposed to do this a while ago… just never did… And I’m too lazy to link anyone… if you want to know who I’m referring to, see the names on the left!

1. If you could be doing what you really want to be doing for a living, what would it be?

Nothing – I’d be rich & not have to work at all. I’d work out & play basketball whenever the mood strikes me

2. If you could slap the shit out of any famous person, alive or dead, who would it be?

GWB… no explanation needed… and Mike Vick’s little brother.. he was an idiot this last school year

3. What's the dumbest decision you've made in the past 5 years?

I got a tattoo of someone’s name on me… and we’re no longer together. But that’s what laser surgery & cover-up tattoo’s are for

4. Give up one for a year: (good) sex or (good) music.

Music

5. Dudes, would you rather have a big dick or a great sense of humor? Ladies, nice tits & azz or common sense?

Common sense. I still have a pretty face so, I can be skinny & still get niggas (if I were on the market of course!) And since I’m not, GTL loves me no matter what!

6. So you've been invited to an all expense paid Blogger Prom in The Bahamas. You're sitting at the bar on the beach. Which blogger do you want to join you for hours of good convo?

Conversation… other than the ‘Bloggers I Know’ to the left… D-dot (so I can take his license & find out his real name!) Luvin Me (she’s me in a few more years! I want to know else I have to look forward to) All my female ‘friends’ Missy, Insanely, GP, BK, Darbs, Honey-Libra, Chele, Dee, Yaz, Cool, N1S, TSG, and Laa (these chicks are crazy… stay having me cracking up… I can relate to a lot of what they talk about so we’d be talking for hours!)

7. Which blogger would you most like to cuddle with on the beach? (and don't defer to your current signif other either. Infidelity won't count against you. Duh.)

No one if it can’t be GTL

8. You're going on a 5 hour road trip...which 5 CDs do you bring?

#1 Jay-Z – Reasonable Doubt
#2 Jay-Z – Blue Print 2
#3 Jay-Z – Vol. 3
#4 Beyonce – Her 1st solo album
#5 MJB – The Breakthrough

9. Would you rather bury your children young or have your children bury you young?

Definitely them bury me

10. What's your biggest insecurity?

Weight

11.What's the first blog you read every day...or however often you read them? (And I swear to God, don't be saying mine just cuz I'm the one asking...unless of course you really mean it. lol)

Luvin’ Me

12. When's the last time you peed your pants?

I was too young too remember

13. Which was better, your first kiss or your first pay check?

Kissing brings germs… so definitely my 1st check

14. Do you have kids? Want kids?

Have them – NO. Want them – like 4 years from now

15. You get dropped off at home after the office holiday party by your bitch azz boss that you can't effing stand...you exit the car and he peels out, runs a red light at your corner and rolls up an unsuspecting midget. The next day the midget watch groups are on TV outraged at the heartless hit and run, and are calling for any witnesses to please come fwd...that half dead midget has a family at home waiting on C-mas presents. Would you take $1000 hush money? $500? $100? A six pack?

Snitches get stitches! LOL! Sike, no I wouldn’t take the money b/c the reward money will probably be a lot more… then I wouldn’t have to deal w/ my boss anymore.

16. Live the rest of your life without your eyebrows or your fingernails?

Fingernails… that’s what tips are for.

17. What makes you angry?

Liars

18. What makes you horny?

Why?

19. What makes you nervous?

Interviews

20. What makes you smile?

Hennessy… let me re-phrase that… FREE Hennessy! LOL

Respect
At first I wasn't going to add anything to this post b/c it's great & I didn't want to take away from it, but I re-read it & unless you're a fan of his blog like myself, and can easily recognize the persona in the post, then you will not know the author. It's non other than D-Dot himself! Enjoy...

My good friend Tiffany asked me to be her guest blogger and when I balked she hinted that my neice was tied up in a Baltimore basement. Needless to say here I am typing away.

I thought I'd do a post about guy and girl friendships since Tiffany and I are cool. I used to be one of those people who said males and females can't be friends. That was probably because I always ended up fucking them. But then about seven years ago I met my homegirl Monique and my whole perspective changed. She was like the female version of me except she was humble and nice. Come to think of it she was nothing like me but we had a true friendship that wasn't based on sex in any shape form or fashion.

I've never hung out with Tiffany but we chat from time to time. We have a lot in common. She's funny and what's even weirder is she gets my jokes. We are both big Jay-Z fans as well as avid basketball fans. I've seen two or three pictures of Tiffany and she looks like the basketball type chick. No not the scary WNBA player chick that looks like she could bench press you but the cool athletic chick. Just the basketball factor alone would be enough to make me want to date her but I don't and it's based on one instrumental factor in any relationship. Respect. I could be friends with a gay guy as long as there is a mutual level of respect. (i.e. Don't try to post me up in the paint just to feel my johnson )

Tiffany is in love with GTL. In our conversations she probably talks about him 98.6% of the time and I think that's cool. That's the type of girl every guy wants. One that can be cool with your friends or other males but knows where to draw the line. She shows respect for herself, her relationship, and her man. Women like that could have funky ass breath and herpes and still get a man.

There are a lot of women that won't leave their man in the room with their female friends to go take a dump. Why? Because they "know how that bitch is." It's easy to spot the female friend that will steal your man because she's the one that doesn't respect herself. If she doesn't respect herself then she sure as hell ain't going to respect you.

Male and female friendships are a little different when it comes to significan others. Because men don't trust men and women don't trust women. So you have to be able to trust your mate has respect for the rlationship. It's complicated and it doesn't always work but it can.

I'm still cool with Monique to this day. In fact she knows about Tiffany and Kionne and a few other bloger friends of mine. I'm proud to add Tiffany to that list of female friends and fully expect to be invited to her wedding although I plan on crashing it anyway. My wedding gift? A large bottle of Hennessey with a bow on top. Of course I'll have to pop the top on my way there because it's a long drive from D.C. to Baltimore and a brother needs some refreshment but I'll save them some.

So much respect to Tiffany and GTL. I wish you both the best and as long as you continue to respect yourself Tiffany you'll always have an excellent guide down lifes little road map.

Now let my goddamn niece go!!!!!

Blogging Realization
Lately I’ve been slacking on new posts. Partly because I’m busy at work and it’s hard to get up a new one on a regular basis especially since I'm not at my part time job every weekend anymore… and also because I’ve realized that I much rather read other’s blogs than write in my own. So with that… I’ll post when the mood strikes me… but I’ll mainly be seen in the comment section of my fellow bloggers listed to the left! Tags are fun too – so you want to tag me – do so on your actual post (and not in my comment section!)

Good day peoples!

Can I Go Home?
I’m really not in the mood to be at work today. I kept waking up last night – for no real reason at all. But whenever I don’t sleep all the way through a night… I’m exhausted the next day. I would soooo love to go home and take a nice long nap under the air… but I can’t.

Tonight is my sister’s graduation. I’ll post pictures as soon as I can. My father won’t be there. (What a loser!) She got X amount of free tickets that she disbursed to her aunt and cousins (the ones that take care of her!) Any extra tickets needed to be purchased in the amount of $10. Supposedly, my sister waited until Wed to say: “I need the money for the tickets today because I have to turn it tomorrow” to my dad. I don’t know if I buy it because as soon as she told me about the graduation, she told me I had to buy a ticket for $10 – this was the same day my dad was bitching about the money for the farewell. He probably forgot about the $10 until she said something to him on Wed and his feelings were hurt because she didn’t give him a free ticket. Anyways… he cried broke and was like, “I told Tiarra to stop waiting until the last minute to tell me about money! I don’t get paid until Thursday, I don’t have it.” I cut the conversation with him short because if he really wanted to go to her graduation, he could’ve came up with TEN DOLLARS! He could’ve asked me…. Shit! He gets paid on Thursday… there was SOMEBODY he could’ve bummed $10 from until then. So that’s both of his daughter’s high school graduations that he missed. What a loser!

He made it to my college graduation though – only for my AS – he missed the BA but I guess I should be happy he made it to one…. It was funny because at one point during the graduation, one of the speakers was like, “All the parents and spouses in the audience who made this all possible for these graduates with your love, support, money, and patience… please stand up so we can give you a round of applause.” This nigga stood up! LMAO. My mother and grandmother looked at him like he was crazy! We ALL were thinking to ourselves, “what the hell did you do?!?!?” LOL

Anyways… enough about him…. I’m ready to go home!!!
